Whilst Ya'axché’s philosophy is unique amongst organisations within Belize, one of its greatest strengths is its ability to form close partnerships with stakeholders across every sector. We work closely with the following organizations to achieve our goals. |
Government of Belize |
Ya'axché works with the Government, particularly with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, in a productive and proactive partnership to accomplish many shared sustainable development goals. Of greatest significance was the decision by the Government of Belize to select Ya'axché and its partner FFI to execute a large project on its behalf. |

Forest Department of Belize |
As the Government agency with the greatest mandate and interest in Ya'axché’s work, the Forest Department has continuously supported Ya'axché (and vice versa) in achieving effective forest and protected area management within the Golden Stream Landscape. Notably it was the Forest Departmnet that awarded the comanagement of Bladen Nature Reserve to Ya'axché at the end of 2008. |

The Lodge at Big Falls |
The Lodge at Big Falls has provided a large amount of support to Ya'axché, both through technical advice; especially on business issues and by promoting sponsorship of Ya'axché’s scholarship students to its guests. Similarly, they have garnered support from Viaventure Foundation, together they investigate options for true local ecotourism. |
